Welcome! You are the Hit Counter visitor the the Project LIFE site.

The purpose of this site is to inform parents about The Project LIFE program; it's goals and procedures, and provide parents with some helpful knowledge about instilling good reading strategies in our youth.

LIFE stands for Literacy Intervention For Excellence. The program was developed by Clark County school district using the research of Dr. Marie Clay. It targets first and second grade readers and has been modified in some instances to serve kindergarten and third grade students. However, the strategies and skill you will read about at this site are helpful to readers of all ages. The Mission of Project LIFE is to provide an early intervention literacy program for the Churchill County School District. This program will ensure that our students are given the opportunity to develop necessary skills and strategies as well as empower them to become LIFE-long readers.

As a courtesy to Federal Programs we ask that if you are a parent who's child is in Project LIFE that you sign our guest book so we can tell if this web site is being used by parents.
