Thoughts on Easter...

It's that time of year again.
The time where we stop and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.
Most people do anyway. Other people celebrate a bunny laying colored eggs(?!). It seems that in our ongoing effort to take anything Godly out of the world, we have removed the importance of Easter from the collective consciousness of society. We have taken the greatest, most wonderful miracle known to man and replaced it with a bunny. A bunny that lays eggs. And we are supposed to go on a hunt for these eggs. Am I the only one who sees something wrong here? Why is it that the world rejects the knowledge and fact of Christ's resurrection and places it in the realm of a fairy tale, and yet they wholeheartedly believe that a bunny can lay eggs? COLORED eggs, no less!

Maybe people would believe if we put it like this...
A long time ago, in a land far away, a Man came to save the world. He came to save it from itself. When he walked the earth, he was loved and hated, rejected and embraced, spit upon and worshiped. He did so many wonderful things, all the books in the world couldn't hold them. He cured the sick, gave sight to the blind, and he made the deaf to hear. He wanted nothing from anyone. All he asked for was love. In return, the world hated Him even more. The more he healed, the more the world hated Him. The more He loved, the more He was rejected. He came to bring peace to the world and for that, the world killed Him. Even when he suffered the horrible pain of crucifixion, He was still filled with love.

But that's not where the story ends.....
Three days after He was brutally murdered, a woman went to His grave to mourn.... But he was gone.

He had risen.

He is Alive.

He still loves.

He still heals.

He still wants you.

All you have to do to receive love like you have never known, is just accept Him into your heart. It's not hard. The rewards are out of this world.

Trust me!
