Benjie's Bio
This is a true Biography of an unknown artist; Benjie.
Name: Benjie
Age: 26
Instruments: Guitar, Bass, Piano, Vocals

Growing up, people usually drift from one desired vocation to another. I have always wanted to be a musician. From the time I was five years old and singing in the local church Children's Choir, till I turned sixteen, I simply dreamed of being a rock n' roll singer. When I turned sixteen, however, my life took a turn. I was given a guitar and a lesson. Ten years later, I have turned into an accomplished musician as well as a talented songwriter. I play the Bass guitar every Sunday morning at my church, and I have had many offers to join a band, but I have never actually been able to find what I am looking for. I have always wanted to play my own music, but my style is very diverse. I love Heavy Metal, but I have the skill and the ear to play very mellow and touching love songs, as well as praise and worship.
My influences are fairly straightforward. The main musical influence on my style is Stryper, but I have since added to that; Metallica, Tourniquet, Barren Cross, Alice Cooper, and early Deliverance. I could go on and on about the musicians who have taught me through their example by me watching them, but that would be way too many to mention. All I can say about that is that I have learned to become like a sponge when I go to concerts. I pick up new ways of playing and I can discover things that no one has thought of yet. God has blessed me greatly in the area of Music.
Now for my influences on my life. My greatest influence has been my Mom. She has taught me so much about how to deal with life and how to have a positive effect on people. All my life, she has been helping people. Either by working at a daycare facility, or when she finally retired and took care of my dad through Limes Disease, Gout, and probably a bunch of things that I never knew about. She did her best and gave all she had so that others would be comfortable. She stood right by my dad's side until he passed away. Even then, she gave all of us hope through her strength. I love my mom more than words could ever say. She has encouraged my love of Music even when she realized that my particular attachment was a style she detested: Rock n' Roll. Despite that, she still took me to the numerous rehearsals that I obligated myself to go to. Of course, we've had our share of disagreements, but the love still remains. I love you, mom.
Other influences on my life have been my father, my brothers and sisters and my pastors. A few friends have influenced both my music and my life. These are friends that I hold near and dear to my heart.
